Dec. 7, 20009

Well tomorrow is the big day for me to present this presentation that I have been working so diligently on. I honestly cannot wait to show my fellow classroom members as well as the instructor all of the things I have been doing. This mproject has been wonderful and I can tell you now that I will not stop talking about kids and technology just because this project is over and the semester has ended. I will forever love children and I will always want them to be educated at any cost. I believe that children will always have my heart and that they need to learn all that they can while they can. But that is all for right now, I will probably come back later today with more information.

Dec. 3 2009

So I was in class watching the first group present for their projects. I was looking at them like wow, I have really been slacking on my project, but it's not like im not doin it, because I am doing a lot; just not as much as I would like to or as much as others.

So anyway, on the note of kids, the ones who hold out future. You know oneday, when our generation is really old, and the new kids on the block start controlling things, our life will be so different. Expecially will them growing up knowing how technology works. This world has come so far and I think, no I know that our kids are much smarter, so with that being said, they will know more about computers than we do and eventually make them smarter and so much better.

Ah, I love talking about children, they are so beautiful!!!
Go on my YouTube channel and view my shows. you can type "yeahimthaone" or Kids and Teechnology and it will pull me up.
I need comments, I need ratings.
Thank you!!!

Dec. 2, 2009

I ust wanted to say that since I have been doing this project about kids and technology. I have used the Internet more. In fact, since this semester started in August, I spend most of my time on the Internet. I even figured out how the Twitter thing works. And in fact, it is actually quite entertaining.

But on another note, I stress my opinion that our children need technology because it increases their skills for the future. There is a program by the name of KidsTek in Colorado who teachers the students about technology. And since March 1, 2009, 100,000 hours were spent by kids in KidsTek classrooms in 2008. And there are many more statistics on their website.

But as studies have shown, kids who regularly attend school, especially schools whose prime focus is learning through technology; these students seem to come out better. More educated and much more quicker to answer problems.

December 1, 2009

I have been reading a lot of other blogs ans=d even tweets about kids and technology and parents and even teachers. There are a lot of people who believe that our children should grow up knowing about technology. that they should be able to build their own computer and basically know more than the older generations knew growing up. there is also controversy about how kids should not be knowing about technology, that it takes away from learning and that kids are just not ready for all of that. But I say if you are not a teacher or a parent, you really do not know much about what would benefit children.

Technology is great in schools. And I also know that there are plenty of programs around the world that focus on technology. Take Memphis for example, my city. We have a tutoring program by the name of Kids N Technology who focuses on kids in elementary school and helps them in the major subjects such as math and reading. They also have several programs for the children of different age groups all the way to eighteen. And before the young ones are done with the program they will have successfully built their own computer.

Check it out sometimes. you can look at their website @ KidsandTechnology.net
